Getting in to Nepal
By Road:
There are several entry points by land route mainly from Nepal / Indian borders; a) Kakarvita, b) Birgunj c) Bhairahawa d) Nepalganj e) Dhangadhi f) Mahendranagar Scheduled public as well as tourist buses run to and from Kathmandu. Traveling by bus is recommended If you can cope with long hours ride in return for fascinating views of valleys, mountains and snail-tail roads.
By Air:
Some of the major international airlines operating scheduled services to Nepal directly.
Royal Nepal Airlines:
Osaka - Shanghai - Kathmandu
Singapore - Bangkok - Kathmandu
Delhi - Kathmandu
Bombay - Kathmandu
Thai Airways fly Bangkok - Kathmandu Daily
Qatar Airways fly daily between Doha and Kathmandu with connecting flights to/from Europe and America
Gulf Air flies daily between UAE and Kathmandu with connecting flights to/from Europe and America .
Austrian Airlines Viana - Kathmandu once a week.
Indian Airlines fly to Kathmandu From Delhi & Calcutta regularly.
Air China normally fly to Kathmandu from Lhasa with connecting to different city of China.
Some other Airlines such as Biman Bangladesh, Druk Air, Gulf Air, Pakistan Air you will arrive at the Tribunal International Airport in Kathmandu.
