About 900 monks from the three best known monasteries in Yushu -- Trangu, Gyegu and Renyak -- gathered at a hillside sky burial site in Gyegu town on Thursday, chanting sutras for about 1,000 quake dead who were cremated there last year. The 7.1-magnitude Yushu Earthquake, which occurred on April 14, 2010, claimed more than 2,200 lives.
